I've got to give you an update on my boys

It's been awhile and lot of things have been happening in our lives. Let's start with what the boys are saying & doing...
Jacob is really too cool lately. He wears a flat bill hat and has his hair a little longer than normal. People call him Justin Bieber and he can't stand that, but he looks really cool. He loves to build and create things. His favorite subject is art, he loves to draw and create cartoon stories, he's really good at it. School started a couple of weeks ago, his 3rd grade teacher is Ms. Dailey. He really likes his teacher and is so excited about this year. Jacob came home that day and said mom "I'm praying that I get the conduct award this year, I'm going to try really hard to listen and not talk this year." I have no doubt he can do this, so we are praying. A couple of days after school started he was struggling with being class clown. He told us at dinner one night that some of his friends were staying he's the class clown and it was hard for him not to make his friends laugh. Gosh, he's so my child!!!
Benjamin is saying the cutest things. He calls his belly button, belly butt, Thomas the train is Comas and Mickey mouse is hotdog. He loves trains and Mickey mouse. His loves to sing... The B-I-B-L-E, This little light of mine, Twinkle twinkle little star, Old MacDonald, How He loves us by David Crowder, Follow you by Hillsong kids (I sang this song for vacation bible school and he practiced with me.) He loves to take a lelo (yellow) bath. We have colored tablets that changes the color of the bath water. He loves to race and run around the house. He keeps Jacob in line and loves him so much. You can see that Benjamin thinks Jacob rocks.

Chapel at BCS

Today, I surprised Jacob and went to chapel with him. He was so excited and surprised to see me there. He came right over to me and sat down with GIANT SMILE. I asked him if he was glad to see me and he said "YES'. As I was sitting there, I put my arm on the back of his chair and had my arm around him. He looked up at me with a strange look so I asked him if this was okay and he said " NO MOM"...so I put my arm down and asked him if I could give him a big kiss knowing my answer would be no again. :( It's wild how quick things change as our little ones grow up....I remember in Kindergarten Jacob would sit in my lap at chapel.... then in the first grade he sat next to me holding my hand and you know about the second grade. My sweet little man is growing way too fast.

Benjamin in Cuba

Up ALL Night

Benjamin has to be getting his baby molars in...because last night he was up all night. Crying, Diarrhea, talking, singing, sitting up, tossing and turning. I have not had a night like this since he was months old. But during the night I was reminded of the cute, sweet little things that he does right now.

So here's few.........he says mommommom, dada, jacob, he said "oh no" and holds his head in his hand, he thinking he can walk...he starts taking off towards you walking without any warning....so be ready to catch him. He love to sing "Jesus loves me" and a new song I created for him...it goes like this... Sing, Sing, Sing a song for me and you. He loves the spanish song about how Jonah not listening to God's word. (he does the motions) He loves to clap his little hands...even last night in the wee hours of the night. I have to say even at that hour...it made me smile. Last but not least, when we pick him up at school...he squeals and rushes to where we are then turns to the teacher and starts mumbling with a giant smile on his face. I hope that I never forget the look on his face...it's PRICELESS!!

Walk, Walk, Walk

I think we are days from Benjamin walking. Last night he would take off towards us from the couch and this morning Jon was getting Jacob's shoes tied and Benjamin was standing next to the both of them on the couch and he took off towards Jon. HOW EXCITING!!!

Second Grade 2009 Ms. Patton

Jacob started the Second Grade Today

Wow....Second Grade already!!!!
Jacob looked so cute and big this morning walking into his second grade class. He was excited. He sits next to Hannah Teague and on the other side of her is his best friend Cole Thompson. I think I was the only mom a little emotional. All the other mom's were ready for the kids to start school...They are mostly stay at home mom's so they probably need the break. I was just sad because he's growing up so fast. I told him I would pick him up and take him somewhere special. Last year, I took him to marble slab, so I'll make that a tradition after the first day of school.
